A collective comprised of two people. These two people make some very interesting projects. Had the luxury of listening to a recent speech from one of the two. Just go to their website. We really can't say much just cause there's too much to say about this website. It's really clever, sometimes political, but in a good way. Studies of Work Atmospheres and Mass Production aka SWAMP.

Seen on the streets of D.C. Check out the Wooster Collective.

Blogotheque is a website that documents concerts held outside of a "normal" concert setting. Like for instance, one of our favorite performances on the website comes from Menomena, who are playing in this little courtyard area. Yet, little do we know til the end of the song that there is an audience. An audience of two little boys jumping up and down. It's so precious. The website is all in French so you're going to have to use your best judgment if you don't know French. Some recent performances include Efterklang and Lykee Li. Both respectfully tasteful and worth listening to. The Knife performance by Grizzly Bear is mesmerizing. There really are no disappointing performances just depends on your tastes. Go check out Blogotheque. It's worth it.

Did you know that Dr. Seuss, also known as, Theodore Seuss Geise,l was afraid of children? Did you know that his license plate said GRINCH? We learned this last night after speaking with a professor who taught a class all about Dr. Seuss. Man, learning is fun! Dr. Seuss is awesome. Look him up.

We love Lara Schnitger. Check out her stuff at the Saatchi Gallery. If Saatchi thinks she's cool then she probably is.

We love Totally Michael. Maybe perhaps you are familiar with the iheartcomix family and have seen this precious baby face at the Last Check Yo Pony Tail or at the out of control iheartcomix showcase at SXSW. Yea, the crazy parking garage party. He just happens to be on the same label that houses Matt & Kim, Heartsrevolution, and The Toxic Avenger. Cool huh? He' got a full length album coming out on October 14th that's got some catchy stuff on it. If you remember Blink 182, and their song that was in Can't Hardly Wait then, we think you'll appreciate Totally Michael's genuine attitude to have a good time. We almost feel too old to be listening to this but, then we think no, never. We got a sneak peak listen to a Flosstradamus Remix to one of his songs and can't wait til we get our hands on it. Here's a link to his Myspace page. He's going on tour with Mc Chris early next month which should be a crazy.

Okay. It's not necessarily like that but, this website does compare two very fashionable people at one time. You being the judge. It's fun because we like to test our taste against everyone else's. Try it out. Go here.

Check this website we saw on NotCot. Yes, It's in Japanese. That's not important. What's more important are the crazy light bright "drawings." Go here.

We like the comic artist, Adrian Tomine. He periodically does amazing illustrations for The New Yorker. He also has a series called Optic Nerve, and a recent book called Shortcomings. It's definitely worth checking out his website.

You've got some time to take the test. You're basically fixing the color scaled. Definitely plays with your eyes but we passed with flying colors. Check the website. It's pretty fun.

We literally Stumbled onto this comic.. We credit http://xkcd.com/457/ for this. Oot Oot! Thanks!
Topshop just launched their U.S website. We immediately copped these shoes. Okay maybe not all of them just the last pair. We wanted the silver pair but our size was already out! :( Luckily we were able to get in on the free teeshirt they were giving away with each order. OooT Ooot. If you have never heard of Topshop, please get informed. And if you live in the N.Y.C area definitely hit up their first U.S. store in Soho. Check the website here.

This is Patrik Ervell's Spring/Summer Collection 2009. We think it's pretty tasty, but most of all we are fascinated with the model on the right.

Anyone ever heard of fried Snickers? Yep. Yep. It's a fried Snickers. Also known as death.

We are going to buy them at this website. And while you are at it check out the other stuff they got like the library kit. Kinda cool.

We really wish Target still had this. We want to buy it so bad. They still have the black one but, apparently all the good colors are online and gone! Wah!
Here's a link to a list of the 35 most beautiful album covers of all time. Some are questionable, others are givens. Peep the link.

They happen all over the country and totally worth going to. Here is their website.
An abridged history of wars that America has been involved in starting with WWI, as told through the foods from the countries. So worth watching. Test your skills!

After taking some weird college courses we've decided to do an online research of other odd classes offered across the country.
To begin with we took a course in Cyberfeminism which is basically examining feminist theory in the rise of new technologies during the past 25 years, more specifically in artworks. Crazy right? It was an odd class with some interesting discussion to say the least.
We found another course that is offered at the University of California Berkley, " Simpsons and Philosophy." It basically looks at the social issues of the show and ends with you having to write a 22 page episode as the final. Eek!
Alfred University offers a class on Maple Syrup called "Maple Syrup- The Real Thing" It covers everything from history to the production of your own syrup for a grade!
Center College in Danville, Ky has a professor who takes on "The Art of Walking With Kant." His argument for having the class outside follows how walking has become a lost form of transportation due to the enhancements in technology.
University of North Texas in Denton, Tx offers a class called "Beverage and Alcohol Survey." You basically learn how to make beer and drink a variety of hard liquors on campus. Apparently can be a difficult class but we can all do the math. In the end you aren't completely sober for the class!
Our favorite class that we wish we could take is at U.C.L.A. It is called "History of Electronic Dance Music." Think Ace of Base, C+C Music Factory. Bits and pieces of the syllabus exist online and state "Class lectures will deal with the historical narratives told about the music, musical form and technique in dance music, the political and cultural implications of the relentless hedonism of the dance floor, the influence of chemicals and technology on music production and consumption, and the aesthetic possibilities and pitfalls when popular music is no longer synonymous with popular song.” Yes please. Sign us up!
College can be impractical and time consuming but all in all if you can learn how to pour beer in a glass correctly and carry on a conversation over Epistomology and Lil Kim then you'll be alright. Learning is FUN!

We saw these coasters on Not Cot and think they are way awesome. Check out the website here. Knowing Japanese would be a +

This image is so amazing. Thank you Lisa Frank, wherever you are.

These lil guys are made of fiberglass. You put your soon to be grilled cheese sandwich in your toaster and it prevents it from getting all gross from the cheese. Life has just gotten a little bit easier! Check them out here.
P.s. they're sisters from Sweden. Ages 15 and 17. Jealous? This is a good song to start September with.
