The Best

August 26th, 2008

Think about it!  There were some brilliant people involved onscreen and behind the scenes that made it arguably one of the best t.v shows for adults and children alike.  Of course you remember Paul Reubens, Phil Hartman, and Laurence Fishburn, but did you know that the future Rob Zombie was a production assistant? Mark Mothersbaugh (Devo, Bottlerocket, Rushmore, Royal Tenenbaums, The Life Aquatic, Rugrats) was the brain behind the music.  There was also Danny Elfman (The Simpson's theme, Desperate Houswives theme song), Dweezil Zappa and George Clinton who helped Mark on the music scores.  As for the creative design of the show you can give credit to Gary Panter best known for his comic RAW, and Craig Bartlett who created Hey Arnold!

Everyone wanted to sit on Chairry, loved the secret word, and hated Randy, the neighborhood bully. This show was definitely the cool kid show. And if you still want to be a cool kid or weren't really given the chance you can buy seasons 1-5 at your local Amazon.com for super cheap. It's worth it! Trust us.

Smelling Like Dirt Is Hot

Demeter Fragrance Library is so amazing. Some of their scents are so bizarre like: Wet Garden, Dirt, Grass, and Crayon, just to name a few.  They seem to really like getting your senses going and some will just weird you out. If you get a chance, try to see if they are at your local Sephora.  You can also check out the variety of scents on the their website.

Everything's Organic

August 22nd, 2008

Lately everything seems more organic, like makeup.  We decided to give Organic Wear, the 1st 100% Natural Origin Makeup line in the U.S. with certified Organic Ingredients, a try. It is the first cosmetic line that is ECOCERT certified, which basically means it's all legit.  All of their packaging is completely recyclable and has 93% less plastic product than other make-up brands.  There are also no Parabens, synthetic preservatives, or harsh chemicals.  The average shelf-life of the products are 24 months which is sort of questionable, but all in all we think this product is here to do some good.

This Is Too Much Fun

August 21st, 2008

While talking about the Tiny Mixtapes site we came across this website that is too much fun.  Just get on the Photoshop clone tool to blur out the website in the corner.

This is the best we could do.

Like Mixtapes?

August 21st, 2008

Tiny Mix Tapes has forever been in our hearts.  If you were ever the teenager that received/made a mix tape for anyone, then this website can be fun to reminisce over. The website has the regular music news, reviews, and features, but it also has a mix tape generator. Yes, that's right, a mix tape generator which means all you have to do is type in pretty much whatever you want and within a reasonable amount of time you will have a mix! Some of our favorite recent mix tapes generated include:  Songs robots listen to when they're alone, I thought I'd miss you, but I really don't, and we have tricked a homophobic investment banker into thinking my male friend desperately wants him.  Now we need a tape to continue the ruse, and to accompany the cupcakes we are putting on his doorstep.

Amazing right?

If you find this awesome then go to their website here.

We <3 Polaroid Cameras

August 20th, 2008

The Land Camera has always had a place in our hearts. It is quite possibly the best polaroid camera to have around. Not only does it look important, it also takes really amazing photos that are instantly yours to keep.  Ours was bought off of ebay for $6.99 and only needed a new battery and some great 668 film to back it up.

Remember These?

August 8th, 2008

On Wikipedia it says these were a fad. We refuse to believe this.  Apparently the slap bracelet got a bad rap and some kids had to ruin it for the rest of us by getting them banned in school. We aren't pointing any fingers, we just want someone to bring these back quick! Please! We are now all responsible enough to have our own slap bracelet. Promise.

Can you believe My Little Pony is 25 years old? We can't.  To celebrate their anniversary they invited several influential people involved in pop culture such as Toki Doki and Claw Money to create 25 ponies for 25 years.  The event is being called The My Little Pony Project.   Not only will these ponies be celebrating the anniversary but, they will also help out a non-profit organization, Give Kids the World Village.  Awe, too cute.
