Camp Beverly Hills is Back!

Beverly Hills, 1977. Three movie producers have nothing to wear so they open a store and pack it with what they're craving - vintage military surplus smuggled from the East Coast. They brand the site Camp Beverly Hills and create the iconic Camp Beverly Hills logo.

The result? A pop culture phenomenon is born! Like any Hollywood legend worth its salt, Camp Beverly Hills becomes an overnight sensation, and a celebrity obsession. The logo tees become a staple of the young Drew Barrymore, golden-age Barbara Streisand, feather-haired Goldie Hawn, and aerobic era Jane Fonda. Scores of other celebrities followed suit. Unwittingly, Camp Beverly Hills became the FIRST to successfully brand the California lifestyle; the FIRST to create a frenzy with a simple logo t-shirt; the FIRST to kidnap the sweat suit from the running track...

February 2008 marks the re- launch of the iconic Camp Beverly Hills t-shirt, the opening of an online boutique, and the beginning of more great things to come.

Helmed by a crack team of New York City marketing mavericks, Camp Beverly Hills has been recreated for today's fashion forward, culturally nomadic girl. Creative Director Matt Goias, (whose "cool dust" has been sought out by brands including Lacoste, Target, and Quicksilver) helms a collective that includes sneaker culture impresario On The Go Ari designing limited-run T-shirts, and Project Runway alum Jay McCarrol launching the cut & sew collection for a 2009 debut. The first batch of Camp Beverly Hills gear will premier exclusively on www.cultistshop.com followed by select distribution with key retailers nationwide.
